Detailed Itinerary

Night 0: Departure from Delhi

  • 9:00 PM: Reporting at boarding point, Delhi
  • 9:30 PM: Departure in AC Tempo Traveller/Volvo
  • Overnight journey to Shimla (approx. 8-10 hours)

Day 1: Shimla – Sarain (Base for Churdhar Trek)

  • 8:00 AM: Arrival in Shimla, freshen up & breakfast
  • Scenic 4-5 hour drive to Sarain (~100 km)
  • Lunch at Sarain (local Himachali cuisine)
  • Acclimatization walk to sunset viewpoint
  • Evening bonfire & trek briefing

Day 2: Sarain – Churdhar Peak – Kharapathar

  • 5:30 AM: Early breakfast
  • Full-day trek to Churdhar Peak (14 km round trip)
  • Visit Chureshwar Mahadev Temple at summit
  • 360° Himalayan views including Badrinath-Kedarnath range
  • Drive to Kharapathar in evening

Day 3: Kharapathar – Giri Ganga – Shimla – Delhi

  • Morning breakfast in Kharapathar
  • Trek to sacred Giri Ganga Temple (~3 km)
  • Drive back to Shimla (~3.5 hours)
  • Shopping time at Mall Road
  • Evening departure to Delhi (~7 PM)
